It all began when Tim took his first step into the Red Zone N.Y.C., circa 1988.  Hearing  the likes of Lil Louis, Tony Humphries, Todd Terry, Steve Silk, and DJ Disciple play this music called house, Tim knew he had to be a part of it. 

Then began a long pilgrimage to the underground.  Many nights of immersion into the music on the dance floor and long lonely hours in the studio soon turned into Tim’s first dj gigs and first productions. “Playing house allowed me to bring music to people to inspire them.” He declares enthusiastically.  The continuous beat, the soulful instruments as well as the vocals set him at peace. 

Tim Hatfield has spread his peaceful happiness around the world.  Brazil, Sweden, Miami: everywhere this preacher of the good vibe travels, dance floors get a little hotter.  “It’s the incredible amount of dope music out there which compels me, year after year, to continue to work.” The classics show us the way.  It is up to us to carry on and move forward.  That is my true inspiration.
